Georgia

Hello all!!!
.
Now that we're settled into our temporary apartment here in Georgia, I've made a goal to start updating this neglected blog again :)
.
We've been in Georgia for a week now. The kids, and myself, are thrilled to be back together with Cody. Five and a half weeks was tooooo long to be apart. Ava and Cohen can't get enough of Cody when he is home. They are also completely soaking up this whole moving-across-the-country adventure. I love that they have such easy-going and adventurous spirits, and they find excitement and enthusiasm in EVERYTHING. To them our tiny apartment is SO cool.. they get to share a room now and Cohen gets his own 'big boy' bed.. what could be better?? I wondered how Cohen would do suddenly going from a crib to a bed, but it's been a seamless transition. He absolutely loves it, and I like that in the morning or after a nap he can climb out of bed himself rather than hollering for me to come get him.

Georgia is nice so far. Super green and pretty. And hot and humid. Can't say I'm a fan of humidity. Luckily, there are GREAT pools here at our apartment complex with excellent kid areas. My kids have been in heaven going to the pool.. they are little fish when it comes to water.. they can't get enough.
I've had a chance to meet most of the other wives out here in our office and they are all so cute and nice. The hubbies work a ton, so us wives have a lot of time on our hands, and luckily the girls out here are all so nice and they will be a lot of fun to hang with all summer. There are also a lot of kids this year, which Ava and Cohen are loving.

Georgia has great thunderstorms. Like pouring rain and loud, rumbley thunder. I absolutely love thunderstorms, I don't know why. They are so cozy, and a nice break sometimes from the sun and heat. The kids like the storms too. Our apartment has a balcony with open-screened windows (to keep out the BUGS.. blech), and after church today it a thunderstorm came and we all went out there and sat and watched and listened. It was fabulous.
