Growing...

Our garden is growing...

We have little yellow squashes, a beautiful onion patch, healthy tomatoes,

and even a little bell pepper is starting to grow.

So is my belly...4 weeks 'till the due date! Things are going just fine,

but I am anxious to not be pregnant any more ,
and I can't wait to hold our baby boy.

So is our little girl...

When I got home from my short trip to St. George, it really struck me how big Ava's getting. She started telling me all about her day and what her and daddy did,
and I was kind of taken back by how much she is talking and how old she seemed.
Her mannerisms are seeming older too.
Good thing we're going to have another baby, 'cuz our Ava baby is growing so fast!

Girls Trip

Last weekend my mom and sisters and I took a little two-day trip to St. George. We have never been on a girl's trip before, and it was long overdue! (We missed you tons though Tawny, and wished you were there - It was not complete without you.) We had a great time swimming, relaxing, going to see Get Smart, shopping in Vegas, getting pedicures, and going to Les Miserables at the Tuacahn Amphitheater. Ava stayed home with Cody - and he survived ;) Thanks Code! They had some good daddy-daughter time, and it was nice for me to have time away before I bunker down and have another baby soon.

This is a little hike where there is a narrow crack in a red cliff that you can climb up through sideways. Vanessa calls it "Fat Man's Revenge." Cody and I climbed it when we were first married and it's pretty claustrophobic.

Les Miserables. The amphitheater was awesome, and they play was done really really well! This was a very fun thing to do.









Pedicures! This was one of the highlights for me. I love pedicures.

1. What is his name? Cody

2. Who eats more? Well, I'm 7.5 months pregnant right now, so definitely me! Cody can be kind of a light-weight eater sometimes.

3. Who said I love you first? Cody did... after we had already mentioned getting married.

4. Who is taller? He is - by a few inches :)

5. Who is smarter? Cody is more street smart. I am more book smart.

6. Who is more sensitive? Probably me, but Cody is pretty sensitive too.

7.Who does the laundry? I do! But I'm terrible at putting away my clean piles, so he helps with that quite a bit.

8. Who sleeps on the right side of the bed? If you are standing at the foot of the bed looking at it, Cody does. I have to have whichever side of the bed is furthest from the door, so if a bad guy comes in Cody can protect me ;)

9. Who pays the bills? Me. I'm the financial organizer of the family. Thank heavens for internet bill pay!

10. Who cooks more? I depends on how much I'm working. When I get busy - like in May - we are both pitching in most of the time to throw something together for a meal. Hopefully when I'm done being so busy I will actually start cooking cool dinners.

11. What meals do you cook together? Dinner usually. Cody's not much of a cook on his own, but he's way good about helping out. He always shreds the cheese and handles the raw meat for me, because I hate doing either of those.

12. Who is more stubborn? We can both be pretty stubborn - unfortunately. Cody says I am, and I think he is.

13. Who is the first to admit they're wrong? Cody is better at that. I have a tendency to always think I am right :(

14. Who has more siblings? We both have 4.

15. Who wears the pants in the relationship? I don't think either of us do. We share the pants.

16. What do you like to do together? Hang out with Ava, watch our favorite shows, work in our garden, read at night, be outside.

17. Who eats more sweets? I think we are equal there - we both really like sweets.

18. Guilty pleasures? Peanut butter on oreos. He'll put a whole spoonful of PB on one oreo - it's one of his favorite treats. Mega calories!

19. How did you meet? We met right when I moved up to Logan to go to Utah State. Like the first week of school.

20. Who asked who out first? Cody asked me out first, three times. I kept accidentally denying him.

21. Who kissed who first? He kissed me...it was the best! He had a pretty awesome line.

22. Who proposed? Cody for sure.

23. His best features? Lots of things... Nicest legs, pretty hair color, strong muscles, soft cheeks, and his eyes are my favorite in the whole world. He's just hot.

24. What is his greatest quality? He has a million, but one I've always loved is his nurturing and caring nature. He takes such good care of Ava and me. He's the best dad ever - super-dad for sure. You can also see it in the way he cares for all of our plants and garden, for people in our ward, and when we had a dog he took more care of him that I did. Cody has a very big heart.
