Hittin the Pavement

Cody and I have pretty different experiences when we are away for the summer. He is out every day, immersed in the culture of where we are, meeting all sorts of people. He gets to know the area a lot better that I do, as he is walking through neighborhoods and talking to local residents all day. He sees a lot of American reality.
.
I spend every day with the kids, doing who knows what ;)
.
At night, Cody comes home with pretty interesting stories..
.
Some of them are almost unbelievable -
Like the woman who began having kids at age 12 and had 9 kids by age 23!
.
Some of them are funny -
Like the old ladies who want to set Cody up with their daughters.
.
Some of them are sad -
Like the family, yesterday, who didn't qualify for the alarm and the wife started crying because she was afraid of her neighborhood and wanted an alarm system so bad :(
.
Some of them are scary -
Like the time last week where a grumpy old mad held a gun to Cody's face.
(Cody told him he was rediculous and walked away)
.
Occasionally, C will take pictures of his adventures on the streets with his phone and send them to me.
I thought it'd be fun to share some of them.

He saw this sign posted at a church. It cracked me up!
I guess this is the cool thing to do to your ride these days??

So excited for her new alarm :)
