A week in Washington

Last week we were up in the "evergreen" state with Cody's family for Thanksgiving! It was a wonderful trip. We were able to spend a full week there, which was so great because we don't get to see them very often. Our kids got a lot of good quality time with grandma and grandpa. Cody and his dad had a lot of bonding time together too, hunting, 4-wheeling, and shooting guns.
.
When we go up to visit, I am reminded of what a desert we live in here in Utah! It is SO beautiful up there - it's still green at the end of November!

The kids got to go on some quad rides too, which was definitely a highlight for them.

We also got to hang with the sweetest kids ever! I have the nicest & cutest nieces and nephews. We don't get to see the O'Briens that often either, but it was like the kids see each other all the time! Ava had been SO excited to go up to Washington to play with all her cousins, and she wasn't disappointed. They had such a good time together!

Cohen also got his fair share of playing in..

Thanksgiving day was really nice, filled with good food and good company. Cody's Grandma June was able to join us and she is the spunkiest 80-something year old I've met!

Dale, Julie, G-ma June

Ava & her cousins. Ava was pretty cranky - we dragged her out of a long nap for dinner.. probably shouldn't have done that.

Cassie, Ava, Brinley

Cohen also enjoyed the feast.
He hung out lots with his cousins Cayden and Colten. I have never met boys who are this sweet and caring with babies. They were so cute with Cohen, and totally let him pal around with them all week.

To top off the week of partying, we had a combined birthday party on Saturday for Cody and our nephew Cayden. They even made their own double layer cake for the party!

They did good for a couple of guys.. It still tasted great, even though the top was in pieces ;)

Cayden turned 11, and Cody is going to be 29 on Sunday! I can't believe he is that close to 30. It's freaking me out a little..
Cute, cute boys.
